How We Chose the Best Network Management Software

When evaluating these network management solutions, we wanted to ensure we took the most important facets of monitoring a network into consideration. We came up with agentless monitors, automation, discovery/triage, and customer support.

Agentless monitors

When attempting to monitor and manage a complex network, why add more complexity by throwing another agent into the mix. We strongly considered this essential in a management solution, minus one that we felt was warranted. Besides, it's much easier to manage one network tap vs. hundreds or thousands of agents.

Automation

Nobody wants to work late. We took this very seriously and included solutions with strong automation products to help streamline the daily grind and ease system administrators' days.

Auto Discovery and Triage

Another process that can be tedious and time-consuming is host discovery if performed manually.
